Builder Histories
The company was established in 1970 by Peter Birse and was based in Tadcaster. The company specialised in construction and civil engineering. The company was acquired by Balfour Beatty in 2006 for £32 million, Balfour Beatty absorbed the assets into Balfour Beatty and retired the trading name of Birse in 2014.
The Birse company were the main contractors for the construction of the Goole Bridge on the Dutch River in 2005
